Caroline Young

Caroline Young

Ward 4 Commissioner Candidate

About Caroline

I’ve been a resident of Upper Moreland most of my life. After falling in love with the neighborhood, I purchased my home in 2006 … just a few blocks from my parents’ historical home. My 3 siblings all followed suit and purchased their homes in Upper Moreland as well, most of us residing right within Ward 4, and all of our children attending Upper Moreland School District.

My oldest daughter graduated from Upper Moreland High School (top 10 of her class) in 2022 and my youngest daughter is currently a freshman. I work for my family business which just celebrated 27 years in Upper Moreland Township. We have worked together with UM Parks & Rec on multiple park projects and most recently landscaped the new Welcome to Willow Grove signs.

I consider myself a responsible and orderly person and believe my passion for keeping Upper Moreland a safe and favorable place to live makes me a good candidate for Commissioner. My background in public service includes being a founding member of the Women of Willow Grove (2007-2010), a Girl Scout Troop Leader (2011-2018) and a member of the Kiwanis Group of Old York Road (2010-present); I was also voted Kiwanian of the Year and Kiwanian of the Division in 2013. I volunteer at the local food bank and adopt families for Thanksgiving and Christmas each year. Helping others has always been a rewarding experience and an important aspect in my life.

Safety, community and enhancing our township will continue to be my top priorities!

I will work hard, be accountable and be responsive to all Ward 4 constituents so we can work together to keep Upper Moreland Township a wonderful place to call home.
