About Dawn

My husband Christian and I moved to Upper Moreland from Florida in 2008 and chose Upper Moreland school district because of the historical recognition in the National Blue Ribbon Schools by the US Department of Education. We were excited to raise and educate our 3 children in the community.

With a career in Nursing I understand the educational success of any student lies within the physical,

emotional and academic well-being of the individual. Having history as a school nurse, I know it is

imperative to have an open and honest line of communication with the student, school AND the parents.

My goal and intention are to bring back the school district to a National Blue Ribbon School, by

advocating for the best possible education and care for our children. Who are the future.

Why I want to serve as a School Board Director

I have a passion for indivulazed education excellence for all students!  

I believe my experience in the public school system as a student and parent for myself, children and extended family provides me with unique insight to bring to the school board table. I have multi generation experience with special needs and IEP’s, from a personal and parental perspective. I have briefly lived in Florida and can bring a broader perspective based on the private and public schools my oldest child was enrolled in K-5. My personal, parental, and educational experiences will benefit our school board and community .
